Marrakech to Fes
The journey will begin by taking us to Marrakech to Telouat from your hotel and then to the Kasbah at Ait Ben Hadou. This is a World Heritage Site and consists of many stalls within a walled marketplace. A truly ancient feel about the Kasbah and private parties can easily be guided to these mazes of stall and souks. We will then visit the magical city of Ouarzazate which is known as the Gateway to the Desert. It is also the location for many major film productions such as The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia were both filmed while on location in the region and meeting up the productions crews in every sight is common.
Following with a hearty lunch where you can choose from the local cafes at your leisure, the tour will then continue into the Dades Valley where you will be transferred to the Boulmaine Dades and spend a night there, the very desert’s border country.
After breakfast, we will still enjoy more of the Dades Valley before heading towards Todra Gorge. Todra Gorge is basically a large canyon with well-maintained asphalt roads, rock climbers, occasional flooding from the Dades River with the breathtaking sceneries where you do not want to miss out. Continuing our journey from Dades Valley to Merzouga will take around 4 hours drive.
In the evening and just before the sunset, you will be riding the camel to the desert camp…while the sun is setting down. A beautiful view you do not want to missed while riding across the dunes and witnessing the beautiful sunset … a special desert trip only you can get it here in Morocco.
You will spend a night at a Berber camp, a desert camp like no others where you will be in a luxury tent in the middle of nowhere. The camels are roped up, a sumptuous of Moroccan dinner meals will be served with the sound of Berber drums beats gently in the desert night under the inky black sky with the glittering of stars playing above you.
The camel rides will begins the journey back to Merzouga, where the transportation to Fes awaits you. You will be passed by one of the world’s cleanest and most fascinating cities in the Moroccan desert called Ifrane. On the journey back to Fez, you maybe get the opportunity to see the Ziz Valley if times permits, so that you will be arriving on time for the evening meal and the private tour will be concluded.
