Departing from Marrakech, we will take the tarred roads journey towards Imlil. Imlil consists of small villages following each other in a vast landscape planted with olive trees, separated by a natural border made of prickly pear cactuses.

We will take a small loop by the lake and then head to the immense Kik plateau at 1800m where we will get to enjoy the breathtaking views including the snowy summits of the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop in a small mountain village of Aremd. Every Saturday, people will come to the Asni Berber Market to sell their goods and buy their needs.

We then continue the journey to Imlil Valley, which is well known for its walnuts, apples and cherries crops. From Imlil Village, we go on a short trek by foot or by mule to the famous Kasbah Toubkal, where we will enjoy lunch in a panoramic view of the green gardens and the peak of Mount Toubkal. Some fun note to share, Part of the movie “Seven Years In Tibet” was filmed at this Kasbah … well, you need not be at Tibet to feel like being at, here.
